Baptisms, Transfers and ....

Image
Letter fom May 7 Welp, the time is here and transfers are among us again and..... This week was a great one, IVAN GOT BAPTIZED!!! His dad was brought back to the church because Ivan wanted to learn and grow. He helped his dad become worthy and come back and be able to baptize him!!  I got the chance give the talk about baptism in Spanglish and it was a great experience. It is really hard to speak in both English and Spanish because I am forgetting a lot of words in English. The baptismal service was FULL. The whole Deacons Quorum came to support Ivan and get to know him more and a lot of the Members from the Spanish Branch came to support as well. There was not a single empty chair in the room which was great!! Also Ivans Grandpa received the priesthood and was able to Witness, ordain Ivan to the Aaronic Priesthood, and also do baptisms for the dead for the first time!! There are some great things in store for this family and I am super excited to see what happens in this next ...

Questing for Pedro

Image
Letter from April 30 Well hello again, this week was great. We worked and worked and worked. We went on a quest to find Pedro. So, a few weeks ago we received a referral for a guy named Pedro ( i mentioned his name last week). We went multiple times a week to look in this apartment complex where the referral said he was. The missionaries who sent it did not put an apartment number. So we went and knocked this place out like 2 or 3 times for an hour or more each day and still haven't found him.  But in the process we have found a lot of other cool people who have a lot of potential to become new investigators. Pedro is still a mystery and is nowhere to be found but we will still work hard to try to find him and everyone else being prepared for us. Elder Rockwood and I are setting up some great things for the last week of this transfer and for the upcoming transfer. So I will save the stories for then. Also I am running out of time to email so I will keep this one short, but j...

Temple Tours and Knocking Doors!

Image
Letter from April 23 I love when you work so hard for so long that you can hardly breathe. It is so satisfying. It is even better when you see so much success and milagros come out of it. This last week we had Interviews with President White and he challenged us to find a New Investigator in the next two weeks and Put them on Date to be baptized. well.. We found 3 in two days!!!!! WOoHOo We had a Temple tour with Ivan and Ari this week and they absolutely loved it. We were all filled with the Spirit of the Lord and also with tears. We showed them around and told them about all of the great things that we do and will do for our Heavenly Father. At the end of the tour we sat down and let them pray by themselves and just think. We sat there for 10-15 minutes and i can not believe how strong the Spirit was. After showing them Gods house, Ari ran to Ivan and gave him a huge hug and said that she has never felt that before and wanted to be able to feel it forever. They are the greatest a...
