Welcome to Muggy Frogwater

Image
Letter from July 23 Well hello again, It is so good to be back in the WKM. I am serving down in Milton Freewater, Oregon, this area is KILLING it at the moment. We have 8 people on  date preparing for baptism and this week we will have 2 more as they are moving from College place down to good ol' Muggy Frogwater. We have a good amount of people we are teaching at the Moment. This little town is such a good place and Ihope that I get to stay here for a while. At the moment I am serving in a Tri-pan with Elder Emery and Elder Robinson and I am enjoying every minute of all the walking we are doing, we are out of miles. We are working in both the English ward and the Spanish Branch here in Milton.  It is so good to be back and to catch up with the Members and some investgators I met and taught while I was serving up in Walla Walla/College Place, also, it is just an amazing feeling to be serving in the Great WKM.  So to start out the week, I hopped on that plane on Monda...

Washington!! Here I come!!

Letter from July  16 Hello everybody.. So I am currently sitting in the airport waiting to board my plane back to Washington, I have been waiting for this day ever since I got home and am more than excited to be able to get back and serve my Savior and finish my mission. This last month has been full of doctors apointments and family parties and the results from both are all good. The doctors have told me that I was a little messed up, but they had the thing that would fix the problem.  I am now wearing glasses to fix something called Microtropia, which means that one eye can focus straight and the other is off a few degrees. The glasses have been good and I am finally getting used to them. The results of the family parties are that I know there is a whole lot of love that radiates around then for me and for Jesus Christ. While being home, I have learned a lot of what I have done and also of what I still need to accomplish while serving. I love you all and I will updat...

Letter from June 18 Hey everybody.. Some of you may have noticed that you did not get an email from me last week and this is why... I have returned home to Utah due to some Medical problems. WE are working on finding out what is wrong and have already had Scans and MRI's and everything is clear with the cancer. I have got other appointments for some other doctors to find out what is wrong with my head and eyes. So far, all is well and I will be returning to the Mission really soon. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks. If you would like to get a hold of me you can either message me on facebook or send me a quick email here :) I love you all Elder Cole Sager

1 YEAR!!!

Letter from June 4 I seriously can not believe that I will have been a Missionary for one YEAR this week!! it has flown by and I'm worried that it is going to keep flying by. Just a quick recap on what happened this week because I am short on time but this last week was again, a blur. We started out with the Family Home evening and Fidning Heilmer, pday on Tuesday. Wednesday we found 3 new investigators named Alex, Susa, and Alexandra. Thursday was exchanges with Elder Corral and on Friday we did service ALL day long from 10-4. Saturday we just went out and worked and on Sunday we had 2 investigators come to Church. Remember Javier from a bit ago? yeah, he just randomly showed up this week and we are starting to teach him again. It was a pretty packed week from what I remember lol.  I found this scripture in my personal study this week. I liked it a lot. 3 Nephi 4:8-10 8 And it came to pass that the armies of the Nephites, when they saw the appearance of the army of Giddia...

The Great Outdoors

Image
Letter from May 29 What a great week full of great things like the Great outdoors. We had zone conferences this week which were a little different than normal zone conferences, Not a single missionary was wearing a White shirt and tie. The meeting was at the Timbers camp over near Dayton, WA. Who knew that there was actually green here in this part of Washington!! It was beautiful and I felt at home being out in the Woods sitting in a camp chair wearing Jeans and a t-shirt. We had 4 different stations where we would listen to them talk about Gospel topics, like Revelation, coping with difficulties in the mission, and working with our Ward leaders. It was just great being outside in the woods in God's creation and feeling the spirit super strongly. So just last night we found someone named Heilmer, well... He walked right into our hands. He just moved into a home with one of the members about a week ago and is just getting thrown into the Gospel. They took him to the temple and...

BLURRY....

Letter from May 21 This week just flew by and honestly in blurry in my head, I don't remember at all what happened. That isn't fully true because this week we had a few things, WE had another Phone Conference and learned a bit more what we can do with Facebook and our phones. They are pretty cool, We have found a lot of cool ways that we can use them while out tracting and during Lessons. The greatest thing that happened this week is Ivan passed the Sacrament for the first time with me this week!! He was super nervous to do it and didn't really know the path that he was supposed to go but he did a GREAT job!! Right before he said that he was super scared and didn't know what to do so i told him, "Just remember that God is looking down on you right now and is so proud of you for using the Power that he has given you. He will be thanking you for helping him out." Scripture of the week, 2 Nephi 10:23-25 23 Therefore, cheer up your hearts, and remember th...

Future Missionaries

Image
Letter from May 14 We had transfers this week and sadly I had to say goodbye to Elder Rockwood and send him off on his way to Basin City, and then said hello to Elder Stugis and welcomed him in to Kennewick! Elder Sturgis is originally from Oklahoma but lived in Midway, Utah before the mission. He has been out for about 4 months and had just finished being trained. I'm gonna keep this one short because of lack of time but one thing that we did this week was went out and tried finding people. Like I said before, there are so many apartment complexes here in Kennewick and we went out and tried knocking some. oh and update: we have not yet found Pedro. I will let you know how that goes this week! I will not give up on finding this dude. In one lesson that we had with Ivan and Ari this week, We swapped roles and they were the missionaries and taught us about the restoration. They NAILED it. They both threw on their Future Missionary tags and had the whole lesson planned out and ...
