Welcome to Muggy Frogwater
Letter from July 23
Well hello again,
It is so good to be back in the WKM. I am serving down in Milton Freewater, Oregon, this area is KILLING it at the moment. We have 8 people on date preparing for baptism and this week we will have 2 more as they are moving from College place down to good ol' Muggy Frogwater. We have a good amount of people we are teaching at the Moment. This little town is such a good place and Ihope that I get to stay here for a while. At the moment I am serving in a Tri-pan with Elder Emery and Elder Robinson and I am enjoying every minute of all the walking we are doing, we are out of miles. We are working in both the English ward and the Spanish Branch here in Milton. It is so good to be back and to catch up with the Members and some investgators I met and taught while I was serving up in Walla Walla/College Place, also, it is just an amazing feeling to be serving in the Great WKM.
So to start out the week, I hopped on that plane on Monday morning to end halftime, I arrived here at about noon and met up with President and Sister White and the AP's, Elder Tuliloa and Mecham. We headed over to the mission office to get ome things set up with my tiwi card and my MSF all filled up with those $$$. after all the important stuff was taken care of we went out to eat and then dropped all of my stuff off at the AP's apartment. went Golfing and then went to Costa Vida for lunch. Costa Vida is honestly the EXACT same as Cafe Rio. not gonna lie. There is zero difference. zero. after preparation day activities went down the ap's had to run off to a lesson/meeting with the Bishop and so they left me with the Zone leaders in Kennewick, Elders Ellis and Steele. We went around walking and talking to people, not too much success. The AP's finnished and came and swooped me and we went out and killed it for the rest of the night and we taught someone named Dixie who was about 80 years old. The lesson was really good and she had a lot of good questions. The next morning I went with President and sister White down to interviews in Walla Walla to meet my companions. I had already known elder Emery from Grandview and met elder Robinson for the first time. He is from Cedar City, Utah and has been out for 6 months. They are both super fun and we are doing a lot of good work here in Milton. We had a lesson with a New investigator . She is super cool and really in need of some help in her life at the moment. She has two kids and had recently kicked her boyfriend out of her house the day before. We taught her The Restoration of the Gospel and when we got to the principle about Josesph Smith praying to know of what the truth was, and she had shared us an experience she had had when she receive an answer of guidance from God to get her to a good place in her life. She trusted us enough to share with us the personal experience and we then shared with her the answer that Joseph Smith received in the Sacred Grove in 1820. She loved it and then accepted to prepare to be baptized on August 11th along with 5 other of our investigators. We have a lesson set up with her this Friday. Hopefully we can get her kids to join in on the lesson with us and get them interesed and preparing for baptism as well.
This morning for pday we went golfing and the course was super nice.
I am honestly so excited to be back in the mission serving and teaching the people here in Milton Freewater. Being back home was nice and all, I got to meet my Brother-in-law and also got to see my brother again before he heads off to his mission to Mexico in October, but the feeling that comes from sharing the gospel brings so much joy in my life.
I love you all and hope you have a great week.
