Lots of Meetings

Image
Letter from January 29 I have no remembrance of anything that happened this week other than being in meetings. Tuesday we went to the temple, Wednesday we had interviews with President and then on Thursday, Elder Depsain and I had a Doctrine of Christ meeting which lasted from 9-5. it was long but also JAM PACKED FULL of good things. Also seeing President White three times in a week is super nice. In Doctrine of Christ we learned a lot about Jesus Christ and his teachings. We read in many different books in the Book of Mormon and one that I really loved was from 3 Nephi 27. If you would all go read this Chapter that would be great. All throughout this chapter, it talks about the things that we must do to enter into the Kingdom of God, or Eternal Happiness. When we live the Gospel, we will see the results and feel of Gods love for us more and more throughout our daily lives. Here are a few verses that i loved: 9) Verily I say unto you, that ye are built upon my gospel; therefore y...

Letter from January 23 This morning we had the chance to go to the temple for an endowment session!! I LOVE the temple and am super grateful that there is a Temple so close and that we get to attend every few transfers. These last few weeks have been weird, with Preparation day on Wednesday last week and Tuesday this week it is making everything feel slow. BUT, great things are still happening and Miracles still exist. Ever since the New Year, the Spanish group has been meeting in the chapel for sacrament and for the last few weeks it has been really empty. maybe 20-35 people came, but this week there was 56 people!!! Niki and her family came, and Ricardo and Sujey came as well. We were sad when we didn't see Victor, Eva, and Antonio at church who all said they would be coming.. This next week we are going to work hard on getting them all to come to church and also to be preparing for Baptism. This week, I invite you all to go read Mosiah 14. I love this chapter because it re...

Letter fron January 17 Grandview is just getting better because I am training a new Missionary. I love the fire that Elder Despain has and I am glad that he is letting it all out in Grandview. We have found 8 new people to teach and have a few people preparing to be baptized in the next few months. Elder Despain is an awesome missionary and I am grateful for this time that we have together to learn and to grow. let me explain the subject a little bit. We ate dinner with one of the members whose name was Greg Christensen. He i guess is a famous hunter and has a museum in his house of alot of the animals that he has shot over his life time. His house was something else.. there were over 200 animals up on his walls which included of an Elephant, giraffe, alligators, the number 1,2,and 3 deer in the world, and many other crazy animals. After he was finished telling us all his hunting stories and showing us his animals, he also wanted to show us his car collection that he had. So he too...
