SMARTPHONES!!!!!!

Image
Letter from April 16 This week was jam packed full of meetings, updating the phones, transferring the teaching records over to the phone, and figuring our how to use one of these things again. I have forgotten everything about technology. What a better place and time to relearn. As a missionary with a smart phone, the work is going to get a lot easier, finding people to teach, teaching lesson, and getting in contact with people. Everything about it is going to be good. Another great thing about it is that people don't look at us weird when we pull out our dinky little flip phones. We got the phones on Tuesday and set them up and then had a Zone Conference on Wednesday to learn how to use them and transfer over all the data. So for the rest of this transfer, we will be working hard on recording every single lesson that has ever happened here for the last 10 years about. There is A LOT of work but it will all be worth it. Ivan and Ari came to church  this week and they loved it. ...

I Love the Temple

Letter from April 9 Working hard is the best thing that you could do in life, always work hard and you will see the results. We have been out trying to find more people to teach this week because our investigators Ivan and Ari were out of town and we normally teach them every day. Instead of being in a lesson with them every night at 8, we have been out looking, and searching for more and more people. It is pretty hard to find people who speak Spanish here because there are millions of apartment complexes and our area is big and spread out over a pretty good space. I still can't get over how big Kennewick is, IT just seems HUGE compared to my last area.  I might have said this last week but i don't remember, But the Temple is in my area and I absolutely love it. I Love to see the Temple so much. Elder Rockwood and I are setting up some good things for this area here in the near future. Honestly, my whole district is awesome. They are all rock star missionaries. I am serving...

Letter from April 2 Transfers this week were good, everybody arrived safely to their new areas and here I am in the City of Kennewick, I have finally arrived in the Big City. It is strange seeing house after house after house for a long while, I am used to little towns of about 10,000 to 15,000. I am super excited to be able to serve here in Kennewick in the Spanish Branch and also to be serving as a District leader. The Missionaries in my District are so great!! it consists of Elders Corral and Coontz, Hermanas Rodriguez and Vidaurri, Hermanas Ewing and Regis, and Elder Rocwood and me. all together we cover ALL of Kennewick in the 2 stakes here. Also, we have the blessing to have the Temple in our area!!!! WOO HOO!! It was a sad week to say goodbye to Elder Despain, all my investigators, the Members and all the friends I have made over in Grandview. The last 6 months have been a great blessing to me and I Loved it there, but I am extremely grateful to have the chance to be here whe...
