1 WEEK LEFT!!!!!!

Letter from July 8

Hey homies...
I GOT MY TRAVEL PLANS YESTERDAY!!!! I AM OUT OF HERE. WOOT WOOT.
I leave here at 4:50 am on July 18 and my flight leaves at 9:30. I am
so glad to be leaving the MTC and getting to the field, but I also
wish I could have like 3 more weeks here to learn Spanish... but I
mean I can hold myself with out the extra time.
Guys, I seriously love Spanish. We are learning about all the grammar
and it is blowing my mind and I am so confused hahah. But I am doing
my best and learning slowly.  There isn't anything really exciting
going on rn other than I am leaving Utah soon. YESS. I am so excited.
I am going to be in Washington in a short 10 days.

So this week has dragged on, every single day has felt like a week and
the week feels like a month. 15 of the older elders in the zone left
we picked up 36 more. It is crazy. There are some really cool kids
like this one from Finland, he speaks perfect English and loves
motorcycles and cars so we are getting along really well. And dad, idk
if you remember this but the kid Cole that we met at Mr Mac...well he
is now in my zone.  He is chill. We are buds cuz we have the same
name.

I love my investigator so much. Her name is Ana and she is amazing.
She is a real investigator and has an actual baptismal date coming up
soon. During our very first lesson with her we asked her what she
thinks about the Book of Mormon and She told us that she absolutely
loves it and reads from it every single day. Then we asked her to read
a scripture for us and she pulls it out of her bag, and her book is
covered in tabs. She seriously had about three or four hundred tabs
all through her BOM. So we asked her what her favorite scripture was
and she just laughed as said all of them. We then asked, "If there was
one scripture that she loved the most, what would it be?" She sat
there, thought about it for a minute and started flipping through her
scriptures. She turns to Alma 29:9,
9 Sé lo que el Señor me ha mandado, y en ello me glorío. Y no me
glorío en mí mismo, sino en lo que el Señor me ha mandado; sí, y esta
es mi gloria, que quizá sea un instrumento en las manos de Dios para
conducir a algún alma al arrepentimiento; y este es mi gozo.
The scripture that is on my Missionary plaque. This scripture means a
lot to me, the reason I am here is to help other people come unto
Christ and to Serve my Heavenly Father.

Nothing else really cool has happened while I've been here because
every day is pretty much the same, and also everyday is the best.
If I forgot anything that I told you I was gonna say then please let
me know. I forget a lot of things lol...

Letter from May 14 We had transfers this week and sadly I had to say goodbye to Elder Rockwood and send him off on his way to Basin City, and then said hello to Elder Stugis and welcomed him in to Kennewick! Elder Sturgis is originally from Oklahoma but lived in Midway, Utah before the mission. He has been out for about 4 months and had just finished being trained. I'm gonna keep this one short because of lack of time but one thing that we did this week was went out and tried finding people. Like I said before, there are so many apartment complexes here in Kennewick and we went out and tried knocking some. oh and update: we have not yet found Pedro. I will let you know how that goes this week! I will not give up on finding this dude. In one lesson that we had with Ivan and Ari this week, We swapped roles and they were the missionaries and taught us about the restoration. They NAILED it. The Great Outdoors

Letter from May 29 What a great week full of great things like the Great outdoors. We had zone conferences this week which were a little different than normal zone conferences, Not a single missionary was wearing a White shirt and tie. The meeting was at the Timbers camp over near Dayton, WA. Who knew that there was actually green here in this part of Washington!! It was beautiful and I felt at home being out in the Woods sitting in a camp chair wearing Jeans and a t-shirt. We had 4 different stations where we would listen to them talk about Gospel topics, like Revelation, coping with difficulties in the mission, and working with our Ward leaders. It was just great being outside in the woods in God's creation and feeling the spirit super strongly. So just last night we found someone named Heilmer, well... He walked right into our hands. He just moved into a home with one of the members about a week ago and is just getting thrown into the Gospel. They took him to the temple and...

SHRIMP!!!

Letter from September 25 What a wonderful week!!! We had lots of success this week. W had 3 investigators at Church, 2 of those people were new investigators and 1 of them is now on date to be baptized on November 4th!!! We sre hoping to move this date up because he was really excited to be at church and accepted to be baptized right away! His name is Pedro Anaya and his wife is Agrapina. Pedro got in a huge car accident a while back and is the only person who survived it. He was in a coma for about 9 hours and says that he saw everything from the picture where Christ comes to the Americas. Ever since his accident, he wanted to find someone who agreed with what he saw and when we showed him that picture, he got super excited and wanted to learn more about the Book of Mormon and our religion. After we got done talking to Pedro and Agrapina On Saturday, we had a dinner appointment with the Florez Family. They both served in the Salt Lake City Mission and are great members. We walked ...
