Baptisms, Transfers and ....

Letter fom May 7

Welp, the time is here and transfers are among us again and.....

This week was a great one, IVAN GOT BAPTIZED!!! His dad was brought back to the church because Ivan wanted to learn and grow. He helped his dad become worthy and come back and be able to baptize him!!  I got the chance give the talk about baptism in Spanglish and it was a great experience. It is really hard to speak in both English and Spanish because I am forgetting a lot of words in English. The baptismal service was FULL. The whole Deacons Quorum came to support Ivan and get to know him more and a lot of the Members from the Spanish Branch came to support as well. There was not a single empty chair in the room which was great!! Also Ivans Grandpa received the priesthood and was able to Witness, ordain Ivan to the Aaronic Priesthood, and also do baptisms for the dead for the first time!! There are some great things in store for this family and I am super excited to see what happens in this next transfer. about that...
I will be staying here in Kennewick and receiving Elder Sturgis! I am super excited to be able to serve here for another transfer! Elder Rockwood will sadly be going... but he is going somewhere good with someone good. He is being transfered to Basin City and will be serving with Elder Despain!!

9 But behold, the Spirit hath said this much unto me, saying: Cry unto this people, saying—Repent ye, and prepare the way of the Lord, and walk in his paths, which are straight; for behold, the kingdom of heaven is at hand, and the Son of God cometh upon the face of the earth.

I love Missionary work and being a missionary.

Letter from Dec 4 This week, there was a Nativity showcase in West Richland and we were given the opportunity to usher and greet people at it. It was really quite neat to see all the different Nativity sets from all around the world. Every classroom in the Church was packed full of them. It was cool. about 10 minutes after we had left the showcase, we got a call from Ricardo and Sujey saying that they were just pulling up to the church and were wondering if we were gonna be there. But Sadly we werent able to be there with them. Last week Elder Anderson were teaching Ricardo and Sujey and they told us that he was having some bounce back pains from the frostbite he had last year from working out in the fields. After they told us, Sujey had told him a little bit about Priesthood blessing and shared some experiences that she has had from receiving them. Letter from Nov 27 This week was FULL of miracles, like literally. I was stuffed full on thanksgiving, Martin got the Priesthood, and priesthood blessings. Thanksgiving was awesome, i love pigging out and eating all the food i can. Especially turkey, I love turkey. On thanksgiving we were asked not to go out Tracting so we went around sharing #LightTheWorld and offering our service to people. It was a wonderful day. We ate dinner with some members and got to look at some really cool cars, They had a 58 Chevy Camaro and a 28 Chevy. After dinner we had a Zone council and talked a lot about how we can use Light the World and transition into teaching a Gospel Principle. It shows us that one thing that we need to do to come closer to Christ is to serve, and who doesnt love serving other people. The Great Outdoors

Letter from May 29 What a great week full of great things like the Great outdoors. We had zone conferences this week which were a little different than normal zone conferences, Not a single missionary was wearing a White shirt and tie. The meeting was at the Timbers camp over near Dayton, WA. Who knew that there was actually green here in this part of Washington!! It was beautiful and I felt at home being out in the Woods sitting in a camp chair wearing Jeans and a t-shirt. We had 4 different stations where we would listen to them talk about Gospel topics, like Revelation, coping with difficulties in the mission, and working with our Ward leaders. It was just great being outside in the woods in God's creation and feeling the spirit super strongly. So just last night we found someone named Heilmer, well... He walked right into our hands. He just moved into a home with one of the members about a week ago and is just getting thrown into the Gospel. They took him to the temple and...
