TRANSFERS!!!!!

Letter from Oct 9

Hello again, I have got some great news and some bad news... the great news is that I am being transferred out of Walla Walla and I am headed to Rattlesnake Mountain Spanish in West Richland. serving with Elder Anderson. I have heard a lot of great things about it, and it has a cool name. I have really loved my time here in Walla Walla and with Elder Sanchez and I am so excited to hear of the tons of success he has in this area with his brand new missionary!! He is training and is super super excited because there are some great things that are happening in Walla Walla.
The bad news is that I am leaving Walla Walla and elder Sanchez.....:(

I know that Heavenly Father answers my prayers. This last week, Elder Sanchez and I were out tracting in College Place late and night. It was probably 8:50 when I said a prayer to myself asking for Heavenly Father to place someone in our path before we had to head in for the night. In my prayer I said, "I have such strong faith that you will provide." So we started walking down this really dark and quiet street just looking for people to be outside, it got to about 8:58 and I was losing hope because this street was very dead. All of the sudden, someone walked outside of their side door right as we were walking by, I was filled with this happiness and faith that Heavenly Father really is there and will answer prayers if you have the faith that He will. We had a really good chat with the couple Josue and Tracy for about 20 minutes. My Faith grows and grows every single day because of situations like this and I know that without a doubt, that my Heavenly Father lives, and that he is there guiding me every step of the way.

4 months have FLOWN by and I can not wait to go to a new area and teach the people over in Rattlesnake Mountain.

Future Missionaries

Letter from May 14 We had transfers this week and sadly I had to say goodbye to Elder Rockwood and send him off on his way to Basin City, and then said hello to Elder Stugis and welcomed him in to Kennewick! Elder Sturgis is originally from Oklahoma but lived in Midway, Utah before the mission. He has been out for about 4 months and had just finished being trained. I'm gonna keep this one short because of lack of time but one thing that we did this week was went out and tried finding people. Like I said before, there are so many apartment complexes here in Kennewick and we went out and tried knocking some. oh and update: we have not yet found Pedro. I will let you know how that goes this week! I will not give up on finding this dude. In one lesson that we had with Ivan and Ari this week, We swapped roles and they were the missionaries and taught us about the restoration. They NAILED it. The Great Outdoors

Letter from May 29 What a great week full of great things like the Great outdoors. We had zone conferences this week which were a little different than normal zone conferences, Not a single missionary was wearing a White shirt and tie. The meeting was at the Timbers camp over near Dayton, WA. Who knew that there was actually green here in this part of Washington!! It was beautiful and I felt at home being out in the Woods sitting in a camp chair wearing Jeans and a t-shirt. We had 4 different stations where we would listen to them talk about Gospel topics, like Revelation, coping with difficulties in the mission, and working with our Ward leaders. It was just great being outside in the woods in God's creation and feeling the spirit super strongly. So just last night we found someone named Heilmer, well... He walked right into our hands. He just moved into a home with one of the members about a week ago and is just getting thrown into the Gospel. They took him to the temple and...

SHRIMP!!!

Letter from September 25 What a wonderful week!!! We had lots of success this week. W had 3 investigators at Church, 2 of those people were new investigators and 1 of them is now on date to be baptized on November 4th!!! We sre hoping to move this date up because he was really excited to be at church and accepted to be baptized right away! His name is Pedro Anaya and his wife is Agrapina. Pedro got in a huge car accident a while back and is the only person who survived it. He was in a coma for about 9 hours and says that he saw everything from the picture where Christ comes to the Americas. Ever since his accident, he wanted to find someone who agreed with what he saw and when we showed him that picture, he got super excited and wanted to learn more about the Book of Mormon and our religion. After we got done talking to Pedro and Agrapina On Saturday, we had a dinner appointment with the Florez Family. They both served in the Salt Lake City Mission and are great members. We walked ...
