FALL WALLA WALLA

Letter from September 18

Last night we were talking to one of our investigators named David, he is a super strong 7th Day Adventist and is one of the nicest people I have ever met. We had a lesson with him at 6 but were in a really good lesson with this other guy, Justino, who had recently just been ran over by a car and we have been teaching him for about 2 weeks. We talked to Justino for about an hour and a half and then gave David a call. We told him why we didn't come and he said we could go meet him at the track and walk and talk with him. We got there and there were two other ladies there walking with him and we had a good chat. Elder Sanchez was talking to the ladies and I was talking to David, ALL IN SPANISH!! he corrected me a few times but he still understood everything i said. Before this last week, David wouldnt even touch a Book of Mormon because he didnt want to believe in anything else than the Bible. He has been having a really hard time with his finances and with finding a new job, so what did he do? He picked up the Book of Mormon and started reading it. All he said about it so far is that it is really interesting. This man has the whole Bible memorized pretty much, he has the most rock solid testimony of the Bible and when he finds that the Book of Mormon is true and gains a testimony of it, he will be even more amazing than he is. I love going and talking to him so much. Even though he can be stubborn sometimes, he is great.

In Alma 32, it talks about the Doctrine of Faith. verse 42 says,
"And because of your diligence and your faith and your patience with the word in nourishing it, that it may take root in you, behold, by and by ye shall pluck the fruit thereof, which is most precious, which is sweet about all that is sweet, and which is white above all that is white, yea, and pure above all that is pure; and ye shall feast upon this fruit even until ye are fulled, that ye hunger not, neither shall ye thirst."
The only way that we can strengthen our faith is if we do something to strengthen it, Nourish on the teachings in the scriptures and your faith will grow immensely.

One thing I love about this time of the year is..... IT IS SWEATER WEATHER!!!! I am not able to download pictures at the moment so i will do it next week. I love sweaters so much. Anyways..... I am doing great!!👍

Elder Sager

Last week,  as a Family,   we went to hear Cole's First companion Elder Stevens give his homecoming talk.  It was so fun to meet him and know that he had been with my son just a week ago.
